Tieco Marine Solutions, the owners of Tug Baltic Warrior, specialise in the provision of marine services to the film and television industry. We own and operate two vessels:

Baltic Warrior is a large ocean going salvage tug

Baltic Rib is a coded high speed safety & rescue boat.

 

In addition we have access to a large variety of other vessels, of all types, for use either on or off camera. We can also supply qualified and experienced crew to operate the vessels for you thus saving you time and money on location.

In addition to vessels used on camera, we can supply support boats, camera boats, dive boats and safety boats. We realise that filming on water can raise complications, additional expense and safety issues not usually encountered on land, therefore our aim is to offer you a one stop shop to provide all your marine equipment and services whilst filming on the water.

With many years experience of all aspects of the marine industry we can offer a consultancy service on any future marine projects. Although based in the UK we are prepared to work anywhere in the world.

Tug Baltic Warrior

The Baltic Warrior is large ocean going, ice breaking, salvage tug. She is incredibly stable and is ideal for film work, either on camera due to her classic good looks and fine lines, or as a support vessel with her excellent accommodation, spacious decks, high level viewing platforms, high output generators, and equipment handling facilities.

The Baltic Warrior was designed to operate safely in the very worst of weather conditions, and can stay at sea for up to three months at a time. Although she is very powerful with 2200 horse power @ 310 rpm, her slow running engine is very economical giving her a free running range of over 10,000 miles.

She would be ideal as a dive ship for underwater documentaries, she can accommodate the film crew and all their equipment, can stay on location for extended periods, and is fitted with a vast array of equipment useful on diving operations, i.e. dive compressors, decompression chamber, cranes, winches, etc. The Baltic Warrior is based in the UK but is available to work anywhere in the world.

Safety & Rescue boat. 'Baltic Rib'

The Baltic Rib is a Valiant 5m heavy duty commercial rescue rib. Very heavily constructed she is fitted with a Mariner 40hp engine giving her a top speed (with four persons on board) of 25kts. She carries a tow rope, first aid kit, and offshore flare pack. She is fitted with full navigation lights, search light, VHF radio and a colour GPS chart plotter and depth sounder.

The Baltic Rib is usually carried on the Baltic Warrior as a safety boat and tender. However, she is available for hire with qualified crew, she can be transported by road to anywhere in the UK and used as a safety boat on location.

Engine

Towing

Perhaps you need to pull something through the water while filming it? Well, we can pull up to 30 tons without any problem.

 

 

Crane

The hydraulic crane is capable of lifting your equipment on and off the ship and around the after deck. It will lift between 9 tonnes and 1.5 tonnes depending on how far it is extended.

Electrical Power

There is sufficient power generated by Baltic Warrior to run any equipment you may wish to bring on board, whether it is a laptop computer or a massive lighting system. There is ample AC and DC power - single phase and three phase - available for your use.
